More vigilant changelogging
#1
Not a suggestion relating to adding something to the game. It's nice to keep the playerbase informed that things are changed or available without having to wait for word of mouth to filter from IRC to station. This thought was sparked by the recent abandoned crates change. People got blindsided and annoyed by that - a simple note that they were changing and were still in the process of being changed would have sufficed. This would also be helpful for the material system rewrite because I have no idea what's up with that anymore. New chems like lumen or rajaijah might be worth a mention, too.

Basically an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

They put the door changes in the changelog and people threw a huge shit fit about it, and this continued even after clarifying that they were still in the process of changing it.

Enjoy wondering whether we've changed your FAVORITE game mechanics in the future.

I was actually joking. Some of us are more diligent about making entries in the changelog than others. Generally if we don't think that a change is worth writing about, we don't update the changelog.
