Miner Objective for 10 gems not tracking properly?

I've done a few rounds as Miner and I can never get this objective complete. Most recent round that just ended, I had 13 gems (cytine, etc) in a satchel on my person and escaped on the shuttle, and it still didn't trigger. I've previously found the proper number of gems (quite more) on my own, not to mention in addition to my fellow miners, and it just doesn't seem to trigger. I've mostly been trying in case there's a badge attached to it, but just knowing I've done it once would be good enough.
