Programmable pinpointers and detectors
#1
First, scan the target material with the material analyzer, or the target person with the health analyzer. Afterward, screwdriver the analyzer's maintenance panel open, and use a crowbar to pop out the EEPROM cartridge, which retains the data from the last object scanned. Inserting that cart into a similarly-disassembled pinpointer (or PDA with a detector module) will complete the operation.

Modified pinpointers will point the way to the target person, identical to their behavior with der fükkendisk and assassination targets. Of course, the pinpointer's display would be confusing and stupid if used to divine the presence of materials - imagine how overloaded it would be if it attempted to point towards the nearest object made of steel - so that's where the PDA detector module comes in. Activating the PDA's module from the main menu, by clicking the hyperlink just like you'd do if a flashlight module were installed, would duplicate the behavior of the geological scanner: Check all tiles in a radius, and place markers on ones that test positive for the material.

This has a bunch of potential applications aside from the obvious. Scanning oneself and handing a You detector to a trusted coworker would help with rescue operations. Isolating a toxic agent from a victim's bloodstream and making a detector for that material could assist in finding the asshole with the radium pen (and other victims). Vice officers could start with a PDA detector module pre-programmed to sniff out marijuanas (and more, if multiple material profiles can be loaded at once!).
