Making comfy chairs

So for a little while I have been wanting to make my own comfy chairs for building projects but there seems to be no easy way to do it other then the ABC-u which at times can be inconvient. My idea is to have the option to make them by splashing carpet onto a regular chair creating a comfy chair.
Any opinions or other suggestions are appreciated and thank you for reading.
