We all know the perils of Space Station 13. The crazed lunatics, the farting jokesters, the toolboxes, the armored operatives, the eldritch terrors, the mutated abominations, the wendigoes, the horrors from beyond the station, the ice spiders, the research team...it all makes for a legendarily terrifying experience. And, as we all know, the month of October is underway, bringing with it a cavalcade of spooks and scares.
So, what better game to feature a Halloween special guaranteed to be among the most terrifying things in all of gaming?
Me and thirtiethelement (Also known by Matt Dales) have tossed around a concept for a while, now, and that concept is Spook Station 13. Turning the space station into a straight-up haunted house, filled with horrors and terrors the likes of which have never been seen before.
This idea has been tested. Some of you may remember the short-lived reign of Doktor Spookstein and his attack on medbay APCs. But more of you likely remember the fiasco that was the battle for The King in Yellow, facilitated by an enterprising, admin-controlled AI and a psychotic RD. That RD was indeed Dales, and that was the proof of concept of Spook Station 13. Leaving the station to devolve into pure paranoia and chaos, through effectively harmless but incredibly spooky means.
We can do more. Me and Dales have brainstormed a variety of variations on Spook Station 13, each one as distinct as they are horrifying. We shall do our part to introduce these to the masses before the fateful day of Halloween, to build tension, anticipation, spookiness. And then, on the last day of October, all hell shall fall from the skies and rain down upon our beloved station.
This is not a massacre that we plan, but a campaign of fear. See us not as Lex Luthor, subjugating and ruthlessly punishing the masses, but as Scarecrows, instilling fear into the hearts of man and leaving them to flounder in sheer, helpless torment from there. Because, as spooky as Space Station 13 can be, we can always make it spookier.
But we are merely two people, confined to our mortal whims. We therefore come to the populace, and nigh, the gods themselves, to ask for their support in throwing a Halloween festival that will be immortalized into internet legend, an event that shall echo through the cosmos and remind all who hear it that one is not immune to fear. We wish to bring the glory that is Spook Station 13 to reality, but we must ask this simple question first:

If you wish to join, give me a message stating your assent or make a response in this thread, and we shall invite you to brainstorm ideas with us. If any admins wish to support this endeavor, that is perhapd the greatest gift we could ever hope to have, because the glorious insanity that is the adminbus could help us bring the greatest scares possble to Spook Station 13.
