Game Mode - Agent
#1
The Agent is the modes main antag, able to side with one of many antag groups ( Syndicate, Space Wizard Fed, etc ) to recieve an uplink allowing them special gear to complete their task with depending on group. The Agent has only one objective, to cause mass chaos with minimal casualties. The agent gets starting equipment such as the Stealthed ship, a massive looking pod with a weakened laser array and an AI Module, the Indocrination gun, which gives ship AI line of sight for anyone hit by it and turning the target to the agents side, but loaded with only 3 shots, the Drone Signaler, allowing the agent a one use gas bombing run with any one chem in game, and the AI eye deployment device, which can give the ship AI line of sight where it is, and gives an awful shock every 10 minutes it isnt used so the ship AI can actually play. ( they get a list ), and the. One person is chosen to be the ship AI, being able to pilot the agents ship around and call in equipment for the agent. The ship AI has full sight of the agent and can move the ship, but cannot see anything else except where the Agent has given line of sight. Another player is chosen to be the Counter Agent, given a .22 pistol and an Enhanced Indocrination gun with 4 shots, and told to assassinate the agent. A third player will be the Assassin, with an old hunting rifle, enhanced suicide vest, and ammo for said rifle, and a one used Indocrination gun, tasked to kill both the Agent and Counter Agent. The agent has a massive amount of crystals in his uplink (90), and will lose 10 for every non suicide death on station. If he runs out of crystals due to death, his ITEMS and eventually his AI, ship, and life will be lost for each death.

This sounds at best like a maybe good admin gimmick, it's basically a helper to other antagonists.

If it's supposed to help other antagonists, that seems kinda lame.

So it's an antagonist with a player controlled spaceship, a gun that makes people into spies, and a device that's sole purpose is to let someone spread black powder, chlorine triflouride, or any other dangerous chemical in the game, and camera thing for this ship ai.

So basically more ai camera stuff that I can't really follow.

Another thing that would be perfectly be fine as an admin gimmick, but pretty much gives away the round type as soon as the counter agent walks up to security and says "hey guys, I'm supposed to kill an agent who's helping the syndicate, teamsies?"

Why does there need to be an assassin, this just seems like a large number of players who aren't the crew.

So basically as soon as someone finds out it's an agent round, the entire crew commits mass suicide so that the agent eventually dies. Good plan.

This would be hilarious as an admin gimmick maybe, but is too hard to follow for a normal round type if you ask me, not to mention it seems even more rambley then I could do.

Also if you want three players who's job is to essentially kill eachother, then make the round about three players who are essentially supposed to kill eachother, not 5+ players and about 4 of them are helping another antagonist do terrible things while the other two maybe team up long enough to kill those 4 players or kill each other way before that.

This seems like the most elaborate round of "kill the entire crew and also get the antagonists to kill each other when wizard figures out the vampire has spy friends" I have ever read.

I can pretty much assume that while this should be a giant thriller novel, it's only going to end up with a death match because bored or confused players.

Yeah, this sounds too uninvolved for the rest of the crew, though I do like the idea of an AI controlled pod if only for some Knight Rider style shenanigans. Our maybe just a buildable pod that accepts brains to control it.

As far as an agent, counter agent, assassin dynamic: Have you ever played the card game Bang? One player is a sheriff, whose role is known to everyone. After that are deputies who need to protect the sheriff, outlaws who need to kill the sheriff, and renegades who need the sheriff to be the last man standing in order to kill him in a final duel. Could make for a fun gimmick round.

No. He chooses an antag group and his uplink gets new items depending on who he chooses.

So the agent is penalized for death of crewmen and his main objective is to help other bad guys cause death of crewmen?
