Welcome to the voting thread for the Goonstation Summer 2025 Seasonal Contest! Here, you can vote on your favorite postcard sprites. Remember, the five sprites with the most votes will get added to the game, and the folks who submitted them will get special prizes (more details below)
Voting Procedures
Read these carefully, because they're a bit different from how the last sprite contest was done.
You vote for your favorite postcards through the poll above, assuming you have a forum account and are logged in. I've given assigned each postcard a random number and compiled them together into one big image, shown further down. That is what the numbers in the poll refer to.
I've also made a "zoomed in" (upscaled/enlarged by a factor of three, so it's three times bigger than the base image) version of this image to show detail. There's also a supplement of sorts containing proposed titles and more for these postcards.
You can vote for as many entries as you want. The poll will automatically close after 7 days, i.e. around August 29. In event of a tie, all the tied entrants get prizes.
Prizes
After the vote ends, the five postcards with most votes will receive the following prizes:
In addition, if there's a submission we really like that doesn't make the top rankings, it might get added anyway, kinda as an honorable mention (but more). The submitter will get the participant rewards.

Optional Title, Flavor Text, & Postcard Text Supplement
Here, you can see the titles (what the postcard's called in-game), flavor text (what you see when you Examine the postcard), and postcard text (what you see when you read the postcard) that people submitted with their entries. Not every entry has some, but many people did for fun. Put it in another way, not every entry has text in the supplement. You don't need to read all this if you want to vote, but you can if you like.
I've tried my best to figure out what was a title/flavor text/postcard text and what was just people making remarks/jokes about their entries. I'll admit, I wasn't very specific about what kind of text could go into postcards, so some the ambiguities are my doing. In addition, once I add/PR these entries, I may tweak some text.

Prizes
After the vote ends, the five postcards with most votes will receive the following prizes:
- Their postcard will be added to the mail loot table for all jobs. That is, when you open a piece of mail from the Mail Courier, you may find a postcard from this contest, whether you're a Geneticist, an Engineer, a Botanist, etc.
- A free sticker from Gannets. His bigcartel storefront shows all the possible stickers you may soon find waiting in your (real-life) mailbox. Please be aware that the mentor mice, nuke op patch, and NT patch designs are running low, so you might want to prepare some secondary choices in case these three run out.
- A Too Cool medal that lets you use the Discord "shelterbee" emote in-game (you use it via medal rewards, which pulls up a picture of it above your character sprite, not in the chat) and in OOC chat (type "shelterbee", but replace those quotation marks with colons, like in many modern chat platforms.) Here is what shelterbee looks like:
In addition, if there's a submission we really like that doesn't make the top rankings, it might get added anyway, kinda as an honorable mention (but more). The submitter will get the participant rewards.
