Walking canes
#1
Blind trait players should spawn in with a walking cane or be able to make one at the medical fabricator or something. Not only would it be good for flavour points but it would give an easy way for people to tell someone is blind, other than the character having to mention it all the time. Bonus points if it:

- Comes with multiple flavours (wood, metal, plastic etc)
- Makes a noise as you walk around with it out
- Can be turned into a sword cane, just does as much damage as a knife

Considering we have VISORS for blinds.. I dont mind a cane for flavoring.

1: Walking canes can be an accesory.. not just for blind people.

2: The sword cane should be a traitor item, the knife one should be a modified cane and come up as contraband.

So yea.. I'd like the idea. We already have stun canes for CEO's/VIPS. Why not expand on it?

Expensive canes for the tailor that costs like 5k.
Medical canes that can be printed for blind people who do not want VISORs.
Home made canes made from wood (thanks botany)
Traitor Canes that are weapons in disguise.
And.. staffy mcstafferson taking a medical cane and sawing the end off into a tip for a stabby cane that security has to steal.

AND FINALLY....
THE CLOWN CANE. A 1k item that has a clown horn installed on it. Holding while walking gives the squeeky sounds of a clown shoe. (So also good for clowns with no legs) and when attacking people with it.. it honks!

i agree blind trait is a hard one to clock without a visor if its not in their flavor text. i have nothing of substance to add but i think if someone took the time to add canes anyway, a vampire or higher-up carrying an elaborate cane with a gold plated handle would go hard.

To be Frank, I've forgotten what the blindness overlay looks like, but I think something like a cane reducing it to simulate the increase in situational awareness that a cane would provide would make sense.

You should also be able to make makeshift ones from something like a metal rod for emergency situations

Blind overlay should be over most of the screen but your character, holding a cane reverts it to how it is now.
