Goon servers you play: I used to play Morty when it had high pop, but now I play Sylvester
Reason for application:
I want to apply for Head of Security since it is a command role,
I want to not only BE a security member but also TEACH security members,
Even if I'm not THAT robust nor efficient, I still want to become a Head of Security,
Maybe even Security Consultant as it comes WITH Head of Security.
(Part of it is also for the cool toys but meh.. Not that bad..)
Also because I want to unlock every roles.. Hope it does get approved.
Security experience (300 word minimum):
I still remember, when I was an assistant, it was.. Pretty good.. Actually,
I've learnt how to use the barrier, how to use the secmate, arresting procedures, the space law and **SOCIAL ENGINEERING** easily but not mastered,
I've also learnt that.. STICK TO THE STATION, IT NEEDS YOU.
The officers teaching me trough a round were very kind and supportive, while not very robust I have to admit,
But that isn't what it matters,
Then, I became an officer and ONLY THEN have I Learnt that I had to redeem the requesition token..
I've grown attached to the SMG as it is great at stunning alot of people, and I can do a little spiral if I can't hit my target but that isn't very efficient as it has a low ammount battery and can also hit friendlies,
I took a few break then returned to Sylvester where I became a security assistant.
I responded to a call then got shot and for 5 minutes straight, as I pressed the panic button, and a panic button of a fellow fallen officer I finally fell as backup arrived..
Answer two or more of the following:- What advice would you give to other sec players?
Press the panic button when in a fight, any fights involving lethals, gives you the number advantage and remember communication is key, so communicate.
Also read the wiki and the rules I know it's the very basics but still.. I've seen people not doing this.
Describe any differences in your playstyle when part of a full security team and when being the only security officer.
- When alone, I prioritise more and patrol more..
I ONLY use the shotgun when i'm alone.
When in a team, I do mainly just.. Stand around and handle minor stuff, unless there's a panic button pressed. Because that's more important than anything.
I use the normal taser and SMG taser when in a team.
Answer one or more of the following fun questions (because it's important for the HoS to be fun):
- Write a poem to convey your thoughts on security/NanoTrasen/space/bees/anything related to SS13.
in the cold darkness,
The void of all,
A great dress
Of the unknown,
Corporate greed, Tragedies,
hidden by that wall..
This so called "space",
Was blessed skinned curse
All along...
(Yeah I know, it's horrid-)
Previous bans (while this will not affect your application lying about it will):
My memory is rusty, but from what I remember, only once.
Because my mouse bugged and directed straight towards the close button when in the admin room...
But it's been 3 years.. I think.
Again, my memory is rusty,
I've had multiple warnings too..

Hey mate, the security experience part is supposed to be at 300 words minimum, yet yours is nowhere near.
That said, it feels that the whole app is somewhat off. I just don't have a better way to put it, but it just feels that you're applying for HOS for the wrong reasons. You mostly talk about the mechanics of gameplay, you don't mention a word about the spirit of security, human interactions, leading the team (!!!) , etc.
Otherwise I only remember seeing you in game once or twice a while ago, so I can't give any useful feedback there.

heya, this is some general feedback. Please bear in mind what Chatascours said but in my case bear in mind I'm not a regular security player. This is also made after seeing you in a few rounds, but watching you for a particular round, so it should not be taken as gospel for how you consistently play, but as you've just applied I'm hoping giving you some detailed feedback early might just in general be useful as things go on to help you avoid what I personally perceive as things that'll hold back any application.
So, in general you seem to understand the basics of being a security officer and assistant which is great! You follow secHUG flags well, use and respond to crisis alerts and seem to show a good general judgement when it comes to sentencing from what limited amount I saw. However, in a specific round I was watching a few things I personally feel would probably be concerning for a HoS cropped up, so I'm going to break it down and hopefully offer both why I think that might hurt your application and potentially how to help with that. Again, feel free to bear in mind I'm not a regular security player and others might disagree, this is just feedback to hopefully help you in your application.
So in this round I just watched:
- there were a couple of incidents where you were engaged by players. Moomoo and another You either seemed to have trouble spotting that or had decided what you were doing was more important. In the other case you did stop, but pretty much had a non-response to the other player. It's not the end of the world and you're going to have times you need to prioritise responding to people, but I couldn't see anything that was keeping you particularly busy at the time. I'd just bear in mind either making sure you're watching out for people speaking to you, or dropping them a little radio message of "Sorry I'm busy!" might be good and let them feel you're not just picking and choosing who you engage with.
- You have a habit of grabbing people silently, dragging them to a location to do a thing you want them to do. This to me is making a terrible impression. A case-example of this I saw for this round was that you clearly had decided you wanted to pursue a funny gimmick regarding a random room. You dragged both a random crew member and a staff assistant to get them to do this, and as best I can tell prayed to the gods for something you'd thought would be funny. That's fine! Gimmicks can be fun and I quite like your style of gimmicks, but I would strongly recommend not treating crew as tools to fulfil what you want them to do. Or at least do it in an interesting, inclusive way.
- Good processing of a certain skeleton, showed what I felt was good judgement letting a minor crime off. I appreciate sometimes you just want to let a player get back to what they were doing and it seemed like this was one of those times!
- Speaking of that newbee staff assistant, you were aware they were new via an LOOC where they admitted they were still learning commands. You were fine with them, but I think it's a real shame during your HoS application you completely ignored a chance to help out a fellow new player and security assistant. If you look at other applications you'll note a lot of approved ones talk about how welcoming and helpful with training officers have been with new players. You elected here to use them as a tool for your gimmick before basically ignoring them. I'd really recommend seeing these moments as huge opportunities to make a great first impression and show off you're ideal for the HoS role because you want to help your team. If I saw this as a regular habit, I would not be able to recommend someone for HoS even if they had everything else down. Just something to keep in mind.
- I enjoyed your little gimmick on the security console. That's always fun to leave people messages. You did seem to miss one of your officers needing help getting back in after being cloned, but after you noticed you got right back on helping them which is great.
- It's a minor thing, and always hard to judge but: your map knowledge on some maps, this one in particular (donut 3) seemed a little confused. However I caveat this with I can't see into your brain, and you might have had other goals in mind, but an example is when asked for an officer location, who gave it, and promptly went for a full loop of the station rather than head to where they were (which was pretty close by in a non-obscure location). However, this isn't really a big deal, I think it'll show as your application goes on if this is actually a problem or not and you'll have plenty of opportunities to demonstrate you understand the maps on rotation well enough! More just a "If you're not familiar with them all, I'd spend time during this application building that, it'll help you out"
- The general theme throughout this round was that it honestly felt a lot more like you were keeping pretty detached to from the happenings of security as a whole and doing your own thing. You absolutely were not doing this in a way I'd consider horrible or against the rules, and I think it's fine for officers to take this approach sometimes as you were still communicating, but I'd say for someone applying for HoS this is an ideal time to demonstrate your teamwork and cooperative mindset. Drop what you want to do and go see what the others are doing, report back on radio and check in on what others are saying. Maybe see if the assistants want to shadow you and see how things are done! These will all make great impressions on people.
Again, please bear in mind this is not a -1, this is mostly based off vaguely observing you for a few rounds and one particular round I watched you directly. I'm hoping there's things in here that'll help you going on that personally if I see I'll absolutely come back and say "They're demonstrating these qualities" But I'm very aware that making a poor impression can be hard to overturn and wanted to get this out as soon as possible to suggest some ways to get around this. As you've said in your current application you want to teach and lead, so please take those opportunities to teach and lead!

I do not nor did I say anything was strange with your social interaction in my feedback. I don't think anything strange was going on at all. We love strange here and there's nothing stopping you playing a great HoS who has an idiosyncratic personality. Not to er, cast any shade on the ones we have but I'd say a lot of the ones on RP are played as pretty colourful characters (I say this with love I promise)
Perhaps giving a rephrased summary might help clarify things: I think your application will benefit a lot in light of what I saw from engaging more directly with your security team, the crew, and especially with potential security assistant trainees. Doing that using some of your sense of humour is something I would honestly encourage given you enjoy being a little mischievous. It's also something I pointed out I really liked seeing and would never mind seeing from a HoS. The intent and end result of your behaviour is the goal here, not conforming to style, at least in my view. Hope that helps clarify things, good luck with the application!
