i think i heard something along the lines of this in the questionable ideas thread, but i'd love to expand on it
having specific powers now lets you kill yourself in funny ways. who would've guessed.
here's a few examples!
(from the questionable ideas thread) Gamma Ray Exposure now lets you rip your own heart out and show it off like a badge before falling on the floor and dying. you also get like 2 seconds to say something while you flash your heart like a badge before your very imminent death
Telekinesis now lets you tear your own head off, letting others watch as your cranium pops out of your body like a toy minifig.
Laser Eyes makes you stare down at yourself before firing through your chest. Of course, you'll fail and light your headgear on fire if you were wearing any.
Jumpy lets you leap directly upwards, leaving you with a shit ton of brute, some brain damage, and left unconscious after slamming head first, full force into the ceiling. this fails if you are on a space tile as you try to jump off of nothing, into nothing.
Liquid Form lets you liquify nothing but your brain / heart. this destroys the organ in the process.

The only contribution I have at this time is I full on laughed at the idea of jumpy just having you *leave* the map, just straight up off the top of the game window. Staff A Sistant died on the way back to their home planet.

that sounds hilarious actually, though i'm not sure how that'd be handled (what happens if you grab someone and jump...), since your items would probably end up deleted in this case

Empowered Incendiary mitochondria should make you melt into lava, temporarily making the floors have lava cracks for 2 seconds

We all know Super Farts can kill you rarely too.. but my favorite use of it is.. SUPER FART THE BIBLE! And time for a new vacation!

But more funny suicides are always ready... SUPER FART ROCKET SUICIDE?!
Or... funnier death... "Farted so hard they inverted and imploded upon themself." "It smells nice here"

just a few random thoughts on suicides with genes that have on activated abilities.

Telepathy suicide, you eject your brain like a borg would eject their intelligence core.
Telekenetic Pull, you eject your organs in a direction of your choosing.
Vastigal Ballistics, your head flies off your body like a ballistic missile.
Dimension shift, the floor opens up beneath you and drags your character into a hell dimension.
Midas Touch, you become a golden statue of character.
Incendiary mitochondria , You burst into a dazzling flame before turning into a pile of ash just as quickly.
Adreniline rush, your heart leaps from your chest.

i like the idea of pumping so much adrenaline in your heart that it just jumps out of your chest, ripping a hole through in the process 
(extra points if the now removed heart has ~100u of whatever adrenaline rush injects you with)

You'd probably have to treat it differently and have the person dump anything they've got on them/holding as soon as they did it and delete their now-corpse, but then the same sort of thing (but a lot faster!) heaven/hell "punishments" 
You could also just have them just evaporate and leave behind a pair of smoking shoes, very chuck jones-esque! 

Having thought about this a bit now, I was briefly concerned that this would make getting genes just to commit funny suicides, then I think I realised it's a funny fart spaceman game and that's kind of -why- we have custom suicides that are available from round start anyway. I like this idea a lot.

A twist on the jumpy Idea, your legs turn into springs launching your body to heaven but leaving your legs on the floor. There are plenty of funny spring/boing sounds, could have a sound of someone breaking through a ceiling or something followed by a delayed blood splatter where the legs are still standing.

Another twist on the jumpy I've though of, is breaking through the station ceiling depressurizing your tile for 1 second (not enough to harm anyone else unless they are on your tile) and leaving behind a wooden scrap effect partical, for the player it would leave them in either the astroid field or the debris zone
