So a few nights ago I witnessed some really shitty behavior on the party of a security guard who perma-brigged someone for and incredibly minor offense. I know that the best defense against this is for security guards to actually read how to be a good sec officer, but sometimes you get bad apples.
Which bring me to my suggestion. If its possible to do, I think it might help if the door to the gen-pop cell should be connected to the timer and there for will not close without the timer being set. Now, I vaugly remember this being a thing back on mushroom and maybe late donut 2, and maybe it was removed for a good reason, but if other people think it might help a bit I think it's something that is worth at least debating.

It does not stop security from setting the time to 60 minutes and walking away. I suggest adding gedo-escape tools to the game, or adding something that can break the windows/tables to the brig.

I thought the timer only went to 5 minutes?
Maybe the windows should be changed to regular windows and not reinforced ones?

If security is being awful without being mindslaved/good reason/whatnot, just adminhelp. The answer isn't to make it harder for normal sec to jail people, it's already super easy to get out tbh. (Throw shit at a window, your buddy, cuffs, your shoes. It'll break it eventually.)

I have had trouble getting out after being perma-briged. I tried the shoes and the handcuffs for about 20 minutes and I couldn't even scratch the window. Plus escape tools will give sec a reason to pay attention to people, rather then locking them up and forgetting.

Huh, seriously? I mean it takes time with cuffs but once you get that shard you're home free

Also: play the arcade game, win prizes, break windows with prizes.

if an officer locks you up for 20 minutes and you haven't managed to escape just adminhelp
there is no need to readjust the brig again because some people are too dumb to ask for help

The brig doesn't need easy breaking out. It's already ridiculously easy to break out and I'm honestly baffled at how you didn't.
If anything the brig needs more of a fun mechanism to breaking out, because currently it's just kinda tedious for the prisoner, and annoying for the officer who's noticed they managed to make it to the outer window by the time he's charged his gun. I suggested this before, but it would alot more fun if the brig had a full camera TV, and a tripwire in the grills, so the prisoner would first have to check if there's officers nearby before making that bold move of crossing the path of the tripwire and setting of some sort of alarm (maybe PDA related)
Brig could also do with more toys too, there's funky drugs in the bathroom, maybe put a bottle of vodka down the toilet so that a prisoner could get hammed and have a chance of fighting a guard. Maybe also put a beaker in the brig too, so you could crush up those pills and find whats in them, or fill the beaker full of water from the sink to splash on the ground as a tactic.
Basically: Brig could do with a buff in terms of prisoner control, but to equalize that, give the prisoners more toys to play with or use to their advantage at escaping.

Have a box stashed in the toilet tank with one, random, unmarked grenade.
Chuck it at the window and see what happens! If you're lucky, it's a frag grenade or a sonic grenade, if you're unlucky it's an incendiary.

Pipebombs you could consider frag grenades I guess.

Right, basically just a reskinned Pipe Bomb.

Can pipebombs bust open doors? I know they'd be used to shatter the windows, but can you put then next to a door to use as a sort of breaching charge?
