Add depth to disposals and space by making Kessler Syndrome a thing
Essentially after enough people space shit, including crusher debris, space starts to do physical damage to those not wearing up-armored space suits, including pods.
Something like a % chance rolled each time you move on a space tile that ramps up depending on how polluted the local space is
Ways to avoid it are proper use of the crusher, which litters space less vs. throwing objects out an airlock
Maybe everytime an object hits the z-level boundary, that adds to some kind of value that determines if space is littered with debris
Create a clean-up arm attachment thing for pods that lets people essentially become space garbagemen
