Cooking meat with a welder should result in some kind of food item.
I went on an ice station adventure to kill and eat a wendigo, only to get food poisoning because I was unable to find a stove and too lazy to go look for one.
Had I had a convenient way to cook wendigo meat I maybe wouldn't have gotten food poisoning. (that wasn't the part that later killed me, it was having a flare gun that only had one bullet, and then trying my luck against a second wendigo.
