The idea is to add a spell/item/whatnot or two that would focus on light and prisms and colors or shit, here's a few ideas:
Prism beam: It'd shoot a super instant projectile that would do like 5-10 damage, cause the guy hit to walk around like when you get tased once for a little bit, and apply an annoying overlay of lights and the like. Could have a quick-ish recharge for how weak it is, along with targeting like fireball?
Prismatic staff: When carrying what's literally those plastic toy prisms on a stick, your spells would split into 2-3 portions, making them weaker but potentially dealing with a crowd easier.
Spectral split: Sad that you're a lame and lonesome wizman? Not anymore! With this, you'd split yourself into 8 parts, but cut your health into eighths too. They'd all be colored the various colorations of the rainbow, and would act like critters, spewing magic missles and smacking people with their staff. Flamethrowers would be an easy fix to these guys, but when one dies, they fade away and put power into the rest. The player wizman could hide among the mobs, with all his spells + being one of the rainbow colors.

this seems good, but the 1/8th split would need to be like a teleport scroll where you only get five uses because I see it being harshly abused in the future if the spell is rechargable.

The latter two would probably be tough, but the first one could have a fun animation with the powers of ~BYOND 500~

Arc Flash: A suped up version of blind, only works with prism wizard. Creates an area wide flash upon impact that blinds most people for a tiny bit. Use it for a quick get away, or to create chaos when dudes are shooting tasers or guns. Sunglasses provide small protection and welding helmets provide greater protection from it. Think of it like a magic ball of "OW MY EYES"

Prismatic spray!
1-7 little balls of light shoot out from you and track random targets around you. On contact, they randomly either a) Paint the person and all their possessions red and light them on fire, b) Paint them orange and melt their face/mask , c) Paint them yellow and stun them, d) paint them green and poison them with 15 units of neurotoxin, e) paint them blue and freeze them in a cube, f) paint them indigo/darkblue and inject them with 5 units of bath salts, or g) paint them purple and teleport them in a random direction 7 tiles (with a smoke effect)
a fun little spell to give you some mild advantages in battle and spread a little chaos in a crowd. obviously useful 1v1 since multiple balls may strike the same target, but is much funnier when targeting a group.

I think this would work
really well as a staff that shoots them randomly like a gun! Gun would require auto-recharge, would be very interesting.

Having a staff weapon like that might be cool. It'd be nice to see less wizards going the gun-wizard route, considering all the shit they could do if they weren't such butts about it.
