Seems like the person lost interest once they stumbled upon UI code. Might be worth discussing the other concerns more though. Honestly adding a request console to all the quartermaster areas that let you make requests for department-specific stuff would be very nice though as well as a PDA system. I think something that it adds that just flat out asking botany for a thing through PDA does is it lets people diegetically learn about what botany, chemistry etc can offer as well as being a more clearly defined and hard to miss thing

My issue with the kitchen and QM requests for botany is that its just boring.

As I'm sure many know, the vast majority of cooking doesn't care at all about produce quality of chemical content. And all QM care about is bulk.

So even if you made a request console, I would probably look at it and generally ignore it because I do not want to grow bulk crap weed for cargo. Its tedious and uninteresting. I will toss the chef some basic stuff trough the window but the moment they start asking for a long list of ingredient I wince.

I would much prefer botany to have a Chemical request console however, since we can make some chem that scientist struggle with and a few exclusive ones.
