Artifacts may be broken

For about a week i've been encountering artifacts which appear to be producing a wall of force upon activation. However, it doesn't go beyond conveying it in the message -no mysterious barrier appear to be present anywhere nearby.

Something new and exciting: an artifact that uncovers an array of guns. However, either the means of application of such device are far from straightforward, or the intended functionality is broken.
