Let HoP use his PDA to update ID's

Place a machine just outside hops that he can turn on when he leaves his office, people would be able to place their id's inside the machine and have hop change their access via pda app. Hop would be able to leave his office without being yelled at by the line of staffies waiting for AA. Although he would probably still get yelled at, a button could be placed near the machine that signals his pda whenever someone presses it, obviously the signal would be able to be turned off.

To prevent identity fraud he would have a camera monitor item to check on whoever is at the machine(or you could forgo this for funny AA shenanigans).

I am with Ursula with this.. No.

Reason being why is the HoP not at his desk?
It's like asking: "Why is science not at their station?"
"Why is the botanist not at botany?"
"Why is chef not at the kitchen?"
"Why is security not at security?"

While security patrols... the others have very little reason to wander out of their respected zones unless they have to talk to another department in person or go on break or assist another department.

So tell me... when does the HoP have to leave their office?
Mostly it is "when it is absolutely nessarcy"
Cause in other cases it's either The Captain or Heads of their departments doing their job.
And with the HoP, we do not see them cook or bartend or do botany or do the ranch. Why is that? Cause the HoP has a "Specific" job as a head.

While they are a head of civlians, they are also second in command from the captain and arrange jobs and paychecks 1st.
So most of what they need is on the bridge and their station. So they do not need to roam... cause the captain can do that.

AND IF The HoP has to roam.. just grab random staffy number 7 and make them a Co-HOP to do your job for you.
If you don't wanna do the desk work.. hire someone for it.
