I agree with this. It's sorta shitty when a traitor is trying to bring his bomb someplace all stealthy and slips on a wet floor and gets mobbed when he drops the bomb in front of someone. Maybe it could take up a lot of space in a pack to where you can't put anything else in? Or there could be suitcases that hold them or something?

Pre-nerf, you could store enough explosives in your bag to take out 1/3rd of the station, if not more. Explosions got boring, and it doesn't make much sense to do a double-take and revert it back to exactly the same lest we get bored of the station being torn to shreds by 1 mad bomber and nerf it again.
Long story short: It was just too easy. A different suggestion: Up the weight so you can only fit 2 in a bag at any time. Change the max explosion to a 10x10. Canister bombs wheneve they get done are the kind of thing people lug around should be like 14x14. That to me sounds like a good balance, but feel free to disagree. upped weight would be fine with me, but I don't think they need a blast radius nerf even if it is only one square less.
they're a lengthy fiddly process by most people's standards (note: not mine but yknow) and it'd just be nice to keep them as effective as possible canister bombs though, fuck yea

Sundance Wrote:there is. Ah, cool. Anyway, I agree the max explosion should be a bit smaller. I think you should probably be able to only carry 1 in a bag too. They should be for hitting one or two rooms to destroy important shit, not obliterate the station like the nuke. I also think there should be a way for sec or engineers to scan for bombs too.

Pro tip: There's another way to make 11x11 explosions that takes roughly the same amount of time to make and can be stored in backpacks and pockets.

Super pro tip: There's a tank transfer valve that's coded to look like a briefcase. Carry the individual elements in your backpack, and the "suitcase" in your hand. Assemble at the destination.

yeah, I don't remember exploded stations being a big problem that often. I mean sure, it happened occasionally but that has just been replaced with other annoying stuff to deal with. As of now bombs are so rarely used that half the time I wonder if that 11x11 explosion at the bar was actually caused by an admin. I do agree that it is pretty silly that a spaceman is able to jam five individually wrapped nucular explosions into his backpack, but having to carry them in your hand/behind you in a locker is fairly lame.

I think it'd be fine if you could fit just one tank transfer valve in a backpack
Being able to carry a whole 5-6 bombs in just one backpack is something I don't want back though

Remember scientists going around with a bomb to chuck at the first traitor who shot them a dirty look? Yeah, that was the problem.

make it so that you can fit one in a backpack to make them concealable but only one

Or let us assemble a briefcase bomb with stuff from the station. I know CARL sells them, but you don't go there every time you're a traitor.

Remember Mushroom Station getting decapitated just south of Arrivals with one single bomb, stranding half a dozen arrivals in Customs until some chucklefuck finally figured out how to call the shuttle without power? Every. Single. Round.
