back in the day before the singularity engine was removed going from donut to cogmap it had a rather unique visual appearance

though i remember it being swirling purple than redÂ
this would be way more visually interesting than the current design which is just a black circle with a purple outline

It never looked like that. It was a static image of a black hole jpg thing with a reddish purple center and purple blue whisps coming out in a diagonal smear

That's the TG sprite. It hardly looks like a black hole.

Yeah, there's a lot of old things about the game I totally forget and can be easily convinced of if someone says it with confidence, but the singularity never looked like that.
