Microbomb Implants
#1
This is a minor thing that has been bugging me for a bit recently. Why is it you can't activate your microbombs when using the suicide command. I have had some plans of mine go wrong since I think I should just suicide and bomb my target. I was wondering if anyone else has been thinking this. My main thought of this is that it could just get annoying to have people blow up and command right next to you.

wrong forum?

anyway, try: the russian revolver, making explosions inside of your own body with chemistry, splashing a lot of high damage chemicals onto yourself so you get put into crit super fast, tossing a syndicate pipebomb and "accidentally" standing just outside of gib range, popping space lube smoke and waiting until enough people have slipped to their near deaths or actual deaths, then slipping yourself into crit so your microbombs go off and gib their bodies.

Alot of post death things don't work after suicide. Like the wizards soulshield and the lings HeadSpider (I'm pretty sure at least). It does suck a little but putting yourself in crit allows you to succumb, the implants will than activate.

Why don't they trigger on suicide? It'd be useful if you got bucklecuffed to something and had no way to kill yourself normally.

Outside of that, there's always grabbing onto lights. It's invisible to everybody else and does 5 or so burn damage each time, so you can rapidly put yourself into crit if there's a lightbulb/tube around.

Bucklecuffing was changed so you can still uncuff. It just takes longer.

I'm p sure it says in the description "detonates in the event of unintentional death."

That being said; suicide didn't detonate but succumb does. Not sure if that's a leet skills secret or not, but there you go.

Figure out an elaborate means of killing yourself at the right moment.

e.g Blue oxygen tank full of plasma. Just stay near your target until you pass out, make sure to look drunk beforehand so no one expects anything when you pass out.

it's kinda crummy but I like it the way it is because it rewards Sec for capturing baddies with non-lethal force. If suicide bombing became common place they'd probably just stun you then instead of moving closer to cuff you, ask the detective to murder you from 5 tiles away.

I might be wrong about this, but I believe you can still use the tank toggles in the upper left-hand side of the screen while cuffed or duct-taped or whatever. Empty an emergency oxytank, fill it with C02, and clip it on your belt. There's your emergency suicide.

Except this would knock you out and crit you 5 minutes later. Also, you will probably be stripped of everything ever if you end up getting cuffed or duct taped. Probably more likely if you're getting cuffed (grumblesecgrumble).

I thought CO2 puts you into crit really, really damn fast?

No, while it may seem like it, it only knocks you out, then starts dealing damage. So, while it knocks you out almost instantly, you won't die until a significant amount of time later (which is why I almost feel bad for using it).

Unless of course you were already badly injured, then it may help to push you over the edge.

why not use one of the other ~secret~ suicide methods? I think the alternative method of damage avoids the suicide problems with the micro bombs.

I don't believe it does. I believe the implant tracks the *suicide verb, not how you died

Also, I kind of figured that this is why syndicate nuke ops had those cyanide pills.
