Want to deputize someone but you don't want to visit the HoP for an ID change? Look no further than the Badge Printer 3000.
Basically, give the HoS's office a printer (perhaps a red version of the HoP's ID printer) that can print deputy badges. You can scan an ID on the printer beforehand to set a name for the badge-flashing text. Otherwise, they're identical to the normal badges. Maybe there could be an examine message that reveals the badge is made of dinky plastic.
The HoS could hand these badges out for their intended usage, or they could just give them out as rewards to those who help security.
