[IDEA] Buff PTL income
#1
Currently, there's no real (in-game/rp) reason to try and get high power outputs. It's fun to make numbers go up and toy with it to get high levels, but you're not going to ever (without hellburn, which is only possible on maps with TEG + cooperation from mining afaik) get power to a level where the PTL is anything other than a death laser that happens to provide a negligible amount of money. The PTL is priced around old common hellburn values, and current engines just don't generate that much power -  a recent round I was on with singularity got it up to 35mw output with a lot of effort, but that still only made 130 credits total all round! Fun, deadly, but not very useful - you pretty much just turn on the PTL because it's funny when people run into it(a noble reason, for sure).
I would even say if it doesn't get buffed it should be removed and replaced with something more fun to spend power on, like the carousel on oshan, although on other maps I'm not sure what that would be.
from the code -
https://github.com/goonstation/goonstati...t_laser.dm
https://www.desmos.com/calculator/62w5igbqwo - the equation, for toying around with values
It looks like it wouldn't be too hard to raise the maximum bux per sec(BUX_PER_SEC_CAP) and lower the acceleration factor(ACCEL_FACTOR) to get a curve that rewards current output levels (raising the maximum bucks per second would also buff hellburn $$$ output but given that those aren't particularly common anymore i don't think that's a big cause for concern.)
I can write a PR for it, but I want to know what other people think first, what kind of money average outputs should get, and if that's the right way to go about it.

oh i should have searched more before posting this there is already a pull request and thread up here:
https://github.com/goonstation/goonstation/pull/3933

Sorry about that. Doesn't look like I can delete the thread.
