Add more demanding material requirements for scanned energy weapons?

Right now, all you need to mass produce e-guns and other great murderweapons are steel/glass sheets and cablecoils, all available cheap from QM and around the station. They even get a nice 200 size cell, which you can't even make using these mats in the nanofab.


I think it would be nice if you needed some minerals from mining for some of these higher class items. Right now I feel that miners don't really get requests; most of the stuff that needs their minerals are mining equipment already, or a few items in robotics for cyborg upgrades.

one of the things I sometimes dream about is somehow intergrating MatSci into Mechanics and adding some actual R and D to their R&D. It would be more befitting if Mechanics had to dedicate time into the round to getting their e-guns rather than just having to smack it with their PDAs and start printing it.
