Icarus Medal
#1
We just had a round with many people's first time being eligible for it, and almost nobody got it despite meeting the criteria. Considering how hard it is to get, we should really get that fixed.
#2
I believe this is a problem from certain medal conditions only triggering after the end of round screen appeared.
#3
Yeah, this happens with a handful of other end-of-round medals. The results don't finish processing and nobody gets anything out of it... and sometimes even when it does finish, it doesn't matter because the end-of-round party favors went off and everyone's a smoldering pile of gibs.

Icarus in particular supposedly has one of its conditions as being on the shuttle itself, and not on the escape level. So if you were to walk off of it, or be inside a sleeper/locker/crate or whatever, it doesn't count as escaping.

Kinda silly.
#4
To be fair the shuttle isn't the only way to centcomm. Should definitely check people in sleepers and crates and what not though.
#5
Managing to get to Centcom before the end of a disaster round would be one hell of an achievement.

As a borg, bolted people into the shuttle until a bit after end of round; it took 10 or so seconds, but eventually the end-of-round thing finished and medals were awarded.
#6
Sorta related: Can we have the objectives, spacebux and everything else like this process BEFORE the shuttle docks and everyone goes ham? Like, process it before docking, and once it's processed have it dock. Kinda sucks that stuff like this and objectives failing due to post-round shenanigans happen because of late processing.
#7
I guess it would need to be decided:

If calculated during shuttle transit, if people get killed there it would mess up the stuff
If calculated after docking, people getting killed messes up stuff

We can't calculate it the very second we dock, due to all the stuff being laggy and taking some time.
#8
i'd be in favor of calculating it when you're 60 or so seconds from centcom, makes end grif safer and honestly, the few extra survivors aren't going to completely ruin the round. If you waited till the shuttle to bone your target, well sorry maybe you should have interacted with the crew more.
#9
That could end up dinging people who use an escape pod because someone emagged the shuttle, though, which would kinda suck.
#10
escape pods "working" was only a recent, and iirc un-logged change, and they're mostly a dumb gimmick - but yeah it could be annoying
