if your preferences arent avaliable, you dont spawn
#16
Honestly, still seems to me like most of this can be handled by setting your preferences a certain way, and then talking to the HoP if you end up a staff assistant. The characterization of it as a "punishment for readying up" is honestly something I wish I had never laid my poor sorry eyes on, but if that's the concern, just don't ready-up.

Besides the ethics of the thing, i dont think this is even feasible without a significant rework of the picker, which first seeks to assign antags, then critical roles, then goes by preference afterward- if you've been selected for traitor duty and then slotted into staff assistant, then back out, that's not okay. There's a lot of challenges to doing this.

even if only a few people enabled it, I don't like the idea of what amounts to a button to make sure you get the job you want, and if you dont, you get to sit back and get the coveted gimmicks. There's no reason not to enable it, and it's not something i'd want to encourage, personally.

Thanks for coming to my hot shitty opinion zone ™
