How would you improve the singularity engine?

Perhaps the Singulo can be used as a method of heating gas instead of directly making power? Fire an emitter tangent to the singularity which makes it more intense - maybe reflect it back around for more and more intensity - then shine the laser beam onto some kind of heat exchanger for gas to be used in a TEG.

Alternatively, use the singulo to supercool gas - special machines would use the singularity to cool gas insanely well, providing a gargantuan temperature difference that can be used for the TEG.

What if instead of a thing engineering makes it was the end result of the proposed "death star" game-mode? Like some machine that shoots the anomaly somewhere on the station. That way, Death Star is notably different from nukies and the age old question of "but why" when building a singlo is solved.
