Hypnospace Outlaw

It's the night of November 5th, 1999, and your shipment of HypnOS: Enforcer Edition has arrived at last.
Ready as ever to moderate the pages of Hypnospace, you hop into bed, strap on your headband, and begin your first night of volunteer work.

Hypnospace Outlaw makes a bold promise to take us back to the year 1999 and geocities culture, and easily delivers.

From the POST startup screen, to the BIOS global settings menu, and beyond; the game features an aesthetic usually only available to hobbyist retro computerists or virtual machines. Your bosses at Merchantsoft (The startup computing/video games?/whatever company who you have volunteered with) have trusted you to ruthlessly moderate their webzones (Hypnozones) with extreme prejudice according to the C.H.I.M.E. laws; that's Copyright infringement, Harassment, Illegal Activity, Malicious Software, and Extralegal Commerce.

-----Below This line contains chapter 1 content; minor spoilers-----

Following the tutorial, which is in itself quite the trip (Hint: It contains 90-esque training computer videos. Crusty!) You are given your first task. To track down copyright infringing content containing or copying the likeness of 1960's comic ace dick Gumshoe Gooper. Quickly your search will lead you to a zone featuring patriotic, olde-timey american themes and also old people. So many old people, good lord. Eventually you find the enigmatic Gooper on a secondary page within that of a page belonging to an older first grade teacher. The page features 1st grade-quality drawings of Gumshoe Gooper. Clearly these kids nor their teacher had permission to recreat the gooper, so they get THE HAMMER. The content is removed, but not without the page's owner taking notice. She quickly updates her status, complaining about how all that Gumshoe Gooper Content is protected by free speech, etc. The game continues with a couple more cases, ranging from harassment in the teen zone, to unauthorized payment services on the network.

----ok no more spoilers----

The game is amazing through and through, and it's content shines more and more as you work through it.

I give this game 5/5 shells.

Also the game has neat modding tools, I should add
