If you have any amount of oxy damage at the time you are given anaerobic metabolism, you will not heal the rest of that oxy damage for as long as you have that mutation.

This is notable for the dna injector cloning module. People will come out of cloning with 40 oxy damage that can never go away without mutadone or genetics scanners. Plus they'll just be gasping forever.
