You can ask the AI to change the power for you on its shell. Probably other cyborgs too?
So I assume cyborgs can help each other out with paint too.
Not quite self service but borgs and the AI tend to help if you ask.

but how is it self service if the cyborgs cant actually do much of anything at all except repairing and adding hats and jumpsuits

They can also add batteries and upgrades to the docking station.
Modules too, but they cant get them into the module rewriter so that's the only thing they can't do themselves.

Remove standard completely. Honestly who want's standard anyway, everyone just uses it for the free efficiency upgrade. Give standard's stuff to the brobot. So like the efficiency upgrade, fire-extinguisher and camera moniter. And yes, give the brobot an alcohol dispenser. Perhaps remove the cardboard tube? What's the deal with that anyway.
.
The point of doing the switch from standard to what you want is that it requires you to have outside help to do it. It rewards you for cooperating with the humans.
