Consider this situation.
You are ling. You ate good number of people, but now you are a ded. You create a headspider and you manage to control someone else.
But oh no. You have no control over your old minions, who have no doubt assisted in your revival attempt. You can't even hivemind talk to them.
But lo and behold, you have this ability that places a limb into your hivemind as if it was yours. Simply use the ability on a rogue limb and they will receive a message asking if they want to be their minion.
This ability can also be used to gain control of other ling limbs if that ling has died. For balance I presume the ability would use DNA points (a reviving ling can easily get the points they need to do this from their old body).
The ability is beneficial to both parties. The ling gets more loyal minions and limbs aren't permanently kicked out the game if they die, being able to come back again as their master allows.
