This is probably because the projectiles from prismatic spray are randomly selected from the ones chosen for artifact guns. meaning they aren't technically magical in that sense.

Suggestion: using a spell in the same room as a chaplain instantly kills the wizard.

If I recall a Discord conversation from a while back correctly, chaplain immunity was an original feature of the spell that was removed by a coder when it was implemented into the game.

Yeah, the immunity from the patch was removed. The chaplain will get other abilities.
