I was under the assumption that morgue slabs were meant to preserve bodies on their own, without needing formaldehyde/embalming fluid, but I put a fresh corpse in there, and later when someone took it out, it had started to rot.

Seems that this is a long-standing issue, which makes sense considering NOBODY uses morgue slabs these days anyways.

What if the morgue trays also acted like coolers, keeping the contents at a nice chilly temp?
