Thermal effect on touch
#1
I was thinking, items that were too hot or cold could have an effect on holding them.

Something hot could range in severity from just a message about it being warm to the touch, to doing gradual burn damage while you hold it, to even being too hot to hold

Something too cold could work similarly, with the strongest effect being the item freezes to your hand and can neither be used not dropped

Black gloves would gain the effect of being resistant to thermal differences, allowing you to safely handle things at all temperatures. Insulated gloves could protect against both thermal and electrical hazards, though maybe a third type of glove could exist soley for electrical resilience

A visual indicator could be added on the corresponding hand icon, with the background of the in-hand object gradually going from blue to red when heated.
