Noticed that if I was holding my firesuit in my hands I still had 100% heat resistance
likewise holding my space suit and helm got me to 98% cold resist (becomes 100 if equipped as expected)
I imagine this works for all clothing.

u are holding it in front of u as a shield and blocking all the fire/cold
