Blind people can get drunk by themselves, damnit

What's with blind people being unable to use items on themselves? Am I missing some new update, or is this still a thing?

I think the most common proposed fix (last few threads) was a stand-in icon. Maybe the health icon? Really anything would be nice.

You *might* be able to work around it by ctrl-alt-shifting yourself. I know you can still examine people and things with rightclick while blind and unconscious.

Edit: Ya know, something like that might be neat to have as a sort of way to "see with your hands," with the tradeoff being that you end up groping the heck out of whatever you're trying to see.
