Have you tried turning it off and on again: more ways to reset the AI.

Hence why I added to the main post that it can only be done to the oldest living AI.

Maybe an AI core can only interact with the station when it's "plugged in". In the upload there'd be a big port where you put the core onto and hook it up to, allowing the AI to control the station. Also, to do a button-press reset, you'd need to do it on the core that's currently hooked up to the port. And, the AI's chamber would have a very special attribute to it: Being the only place where the port would work properly. Scan it and place it anywhere else and it won't work at all. Also the reset would only work for an original AI with a synthbrain. If the AI has a biological brain, oh well! It can't be manually reset. I think this'd fix a lot of issues, but this isn't the best of ideas.
