So I was thinking, the Emag is good but not at all subtle. Breaking into an area with an emag leaves a trail behind (which is the point). So I was thinking, what about some kind of mimic ID.
It starts identical to whatever ID you're currently wearing and you replace your current ID with it. Now whenever you walk into a door you don't have access to, the ID will automatically change to whatever the lowest rank you need to get into that area is. For example, if I'm a chef and I walk into a sec door, it'll change to Security Officer, but in the same logic walking into a maintenance door would make me a staff assistant.
Now the ID change isn't permanant, it'd last around 30 second to a minute, then change back to your default, and it wouldn't come with unlimited uses either, you'd get about 3-6 uses before it completely breaks and gives you a glitchy mess of a rank.
Now this is useful for traitors because it allows them access to areas they don't have access to without giving away they're using an emag, and if combined with the chameleon jumpsuit they could get anywhere they wanted.
The downside to it is that if you ever talk over the radio, the AI will notice something is up with your changing (and eventually glitchy) rank. It also doesn't have unlimited uses so you need to plan how to use it and be quick with it so you don't waste a use getting out of the area.
I think it'd be nice to have a few more subtle traitor items.

[quote="V12US"]ATM buster
A card that when inserted into an ATM machine causes that ATM machine to explode, showering the area in money bills. Useful if obtaining money is an objective, or if you want to create one hell of a distraction.
that should be added to the emag.

A Fake Mustache Merchant traitor that kills anyone who tries to get a refund sounds funny.

Random traitor load outs/shifting lists, basically you may get different items in the unlocked PDA list or you could with a few telecrystals randomize said list for differentiating items for example. You are a drugged raging staff assistant and you want a cyalume but it has its place taken by a floor closet so with 1 telecrystals you could potentially add it to the list if your lucky, if not you get a chameleon suit and you might have to try again. Basically I want to make things not job specific but instead you have a chance of getting x item that matches up with x job. Not sure how you would code this however.

Chloroform kit.
Includes bottle of chloroform (sleep toxin maybe?) and rag.
A bit more noticeable than a sleepy pen, but reusable to an extent.
Maybe rather than making the person sleep, it knocks them out for a while. An overdose could probably kill someone.

[quote="atomic1fire"but reusable to an extent./quote]I am pretty sure sleepy pens can be refilled with sleeping toxins if you break into medbay.

Sedative/sleeptoxins are nowhere near as effective as somnambutril. Different reagents.

Botanist Item: Bee Pheromone Kit
A set of small spritzer bottles that can be innocuously used on a desired target.
Using it on a bee turns it aggressive.
Using it on a person makes all bees turn aggressive to that person.

I think regular space bees should be a traitor item, look like regular bee eggs, except when they grow to full size they attack whatever's closest.

I'd like to see emagged QM consoles give you the option for a 'Honey Production Kit', which looks exactly the same as the real thing, but is loaded with killer bee eggs.

To make a long story that came from an electronic version of a changeling originally heres a traitor weapon idea for electricians. Magnetic Gloves, these will look like stun gloves but are fundementally different. These have the ability to Attract/Repel metal objects. They get stronger after use too the point of ripping sheets off reinforced walls and sending O2 canisters after your foes. At this point anything metal you touch gets stuck to your hands and you slowly lose health to the point of insta gibbing and the gloves to be destroyed. I think 10 telecrystals is a fair price tell me what you think.

Why not just give the electrician rechargable stun gloves as a traitor weapon.
E.g touch grille/wire and get charged.

Africanized Spacebee eggs
hostile to EVERYTHING and twice as hardy. Not as stealthy as pheremones but better for mass chaos I guess

boombox with a remote control
It's a soundbox with discriminating sounds like gunshots or cyalume saber noises that can be deployed with remote control for distractions.
