I had a round on Destiny recently where there were a huge number of bombings, and one of them damaged Medbay. I was trying to fix the breach and I succeeded, but the power terminal connecting to the APC was completely destroyed, which rather screwed over my repair efforts.
My thought on this is that Mechanics should be able to make new ones. As to the thing where they have wires leading to the APC, what I would do is make it so you can use wires on a freshly-made, unconnected power terminal and select a direction to add the three-wire connector (I'd use facing like normal wires but it wouldn't work very well in cramped areas, which are super prevalent with this ship's cramped Maint).
