So, about that envineer/pathologist?
#1
On the old dlabs thread I made about this, I screamed about trying to get virus research and atmos back into the game. I was told atmos was a buggy mess and a couple of others contributed some cool ideas on how to re-integrate pathology without making it another catastrophic griffers paradise.

So here is the new thread for that. Dr. Cogwerks worked on a few neato sprites and a bunch of great ideas for pathology so there's that going. I don't have the thread cached so I can't quite recall everything that was suggested, so if anyone else wants to have their two cents in on either pathology or atmos techs, go ahead.

P.S. I still want that atmos-tech borg module. I think it'd be interesting anyway. It does just about everything the engineering model can, but with superior fire resistance and an air scrubber/pump! Why have a whole lot of unnecessary pipes and vents when you can have a borg module NO ONE will ever use?

Why indeed!

It's kinda hard to make pathology an actual thing you can experiment with while also preventing it from being abused. Hopefully somebody finds a good system. It's always fun when somebody fucks up spectacularly enough to doom the station, without the potential of horrible jerks doing it every round.

Yes, you would be very pleased to know that pathology might be reintegrated into cogblap station. Frontline be praised
#4
what?

That whole genetic-style procedural pathology system I proposed ages ago? Marquesas has it working.
It will be going into the new map eventually, but porting that system over is too big of a project for it to be done by map launch time. It doesn't really need to be discussed all over again, the framework is all set up already.

New Pathology will probably be one of the first major updates to the map after it's live though.

I said Frontline be praised got issues with that? But I messed up and meant to say Klaybloxx
#7
what the fuck
#8
Oh because he said cogblap, heh.

Don't ever let that meme die!

Engineer already has atmos covered, with the new turbine engine there's no need for a separate atmosphere technician because on the actual off chance that atmos needs fixing, an assistant or engineer can fix that.

Just throw in a book about cleaning up air problems and fixing walls in the emergency storage.

Call it Centcom's Emergency Manual or something.

ugh now I'm not using it ever. thanks

Ironically, the surest way to end it was to call it a meme.
