Spiders and Mantis, and Lady Bugs could be there to eat the more pest like bugs
Earthworms could provide nutrition to growing plants
Spiders and Silk Worms could provide fabric from thread
Glow Worms and Fire Flies could provide light.
Leeches could be used to remove poisons from your blood. Maybe some other bug could help heal brute damage or stitch up bleeding wounds. Army surgeon ants?

Maybe some bugs could have reagents in their system as well, to be extracted.

Space mantises should be rare but can be tamed as pets and rideable if tamed. They would be huge due to mutations caused by space radiation and experimentation. Feed them smaller critters to try and tame one.

No they should be a playable race and use a scaled up version of the FTL sprite.

space mosquitoes should have a special message when attacked barehanded like clownspiders do, but not a stomp

should be slapping yourhands together, with a high chance to miss

and they should leave blood splat when killed, bigger splat the more blood they stole

vampires could try to eat them for their stolen blood tho

Can't remember which thread it was in, but earlier I suggested having wild dogs spawn on the station especially around maintenance tunnels and leftover food/garbage.

Now that I think about it, that stuff could also attract bears too. Maybe that would encourage a bit more cleanliness around the station. That or inspire more serial litterers.
