Un-nerf 12gauge AEX
#1
They got their cost increased to 70,000 a box. AND THEY ALSO ONLY GIVE YOU THREE ROUNDS A BOX.

That's not cool.

It's sort of a reaction to how the economy is batshit. The lottery is worthless spam, playing slots can make money faster than standard QMs, grow-op QMs can rake it in hand over fist, starstones are ridiculous, and god help us if the engineers get the PTLaser going. Oh, and the stock market too!

Basically until there's some standardization of methods and costs, you can expect nonsensical prices on powerful items.

I think the 40mm shells are batshit right now.

100 Grand for 2 shells, and they don't even reliably destroy floors.
I'd be okay with the price if they were buffed tremendously. Maybe around the same strength as a strong pipebomb.

The nerf seems like a knee jerk reaction to someone shooting up the station.

You mean everyone who knew how to abuse the Y-drone to get a million bucks shooting up the station? Come on, I don't think blowing everyone up with impunity was ever that fun, or balanced.

I think you mean the x-drone. The y-drone takes a crap ton of effort.

I dunno if you should expect reasonable prices from shady robots selling you black-market goods.

That's a problem with the X-drone, not a problem with 12 gauge AEX.

Players who go to the trouble of heisting the station budget or win a bunch of money at slots AND blow the telecrystals to get an agent card and a spacker should not be fucked like this when there is no indication or way to avoid it or any indication that it was changed from how it used to be.

Also this is stupid because 12 gauge AEX won't kill in one s hot, sometimes not even in two shots. If you're lucky those 3 rounds you just spent 70 grand on will kill ONE person. Compare that to the cost of an emag plus phaser crates.

perhaps powerful stuff like this and the artillery pod shots could be sold in limited quantities rather than having tremendous prices. i know that the qm traders have hard limits on some of their sellables, this could be extended to other merchants. so it would be safe to lower their price, knowing that there is an absolute limited quantity available to be bought, thus making their potential for rampage-enabling or station-levelling highly controllable

Which nerf came first: the x-drone money reward decrease, or the price increase of listening post goodies?

I'm thinking one is good, both is too much. The problem was with people cheesing the y-drone to reliably accrue a million bucks, then blowing it all on extremely robust equipment in just a few minutes flat. I'm cool with rewarding people who earn it legitimately.

X-drone nerf came first.

But yes, I agree with the rest of your statement.

It's not just the price increase I'm complaining about, but getting 3 rounds a box. If anything, considering how dangerous they are to the user and their inability to get one shot kills, buying 12 gauge AEX should give you a box of ammo, just like with ordering a shotgun box. They're more for being scary and removing people's limbs than they are murder sprees, especially since someone will invariably run up to you and you'll blow your own arms off due to space lag~

I agree as well having one nerf was enough but both of these together is just overkill.

To be honest it makes me sad to see this stuff. With the fact that the bullets barely do anything anymore the price and the ammo reduction is just sad. Whats the point in gathering a bunch of money if you can't blow it on something nice? I thought we were trying to find more ways to make people spend money on things not make them not want to spend their money on something? I mean last time I remember someone using the EX ammo for shotguns the shots only knocked someone over and didn't even do any damage.

AEX knocks someone over and has a chance to blow limbs off, and a chance to gib them if they're low on health. It always gibs corpses.
