Put your card in the card-hole and type "term_login" for terminals or 'login' for thinkDOS. For TermOS, type 'su' then "term_login" again for super-user status. You'll need a Head of Station's ID card.
Type 'help'. Read all of the various 'help' topics. A good command to start with in TermOS is 'ls', which will tell you which computer directory you're at. If you just logged in this will be root. You can 'cd' (Change Directory) to other directories, containing programs or files. For example, 'cd /mnt/control' will connect you to the Control database in Research, which has programs for guardbuddy operation. 'cd /mnt/artlab/' will connect you to the artlab database, which contains research protocols.

Literally the only people who understand TermOS are you and IBM, Marquesas. Don't be so hard on him for getting things wrong, at least he tried.
and I'm not 100% sure about either of you seriously termos is some crazy incomprehensible shit

Term_OS isn't really that hard at all. If you can do that nerd shit in telescience you can easily handle term_os, stop being stubborn and go learn it.

TermOs is just Unix/GNU/Linux with the serials filed off. If you know how to operate those, then you know how to use TermOs.
Although I don't get it why NanoTrasen didn't make their own in-house operating system and extort ridiculous sums from the employees through the company store for guidebooks.

I hope so, because it would be a shame to have to have a coder update a book's stuff every time someone adds a new thing to the wiki or re-formats a guide or adds some much-needed space humor.
