Introduction
Hi it's me, FishDance. Some may know me as Dr. Fisk or Fish or whatever, I really don't mind, and it's really not important. The fact of the matter is, I'd like to try my hand at running yet another Goonstation Themed RPG. The last two times around were extremely fun, and I think that with what I've learned I should be able to do pretty well at this.
What am I planning?
Thanks for asking, bolded text. I've gone and created an EXTREMELY simplistic RPG system based almost entirely on the XCom: Long War system. It's pretty easy to get into, and pretty self explanatory, so learning it shouldn't be too difficult, and even if it is, I'm ready to help. What this means is that I want to host a campaign that focuses a lot on combat and tactical play, rather than the overpowered vibes from the last couple campaigns.
Is this exclusive?
Not at all, bolded text. This was, in part, created so that all the people who wanted to participate in the original campaign but couldn't due to scheduling issues could have another chance to play. There is no knowledge restriction, whether you've played in no campaigns at all, or billions before now, everyone is welcome. Hell, even if we're already in a campaign together you can feel free to join in on this one since it'll be at a different time.
How are we going to play this?
I've become extremely knowledgeable in the intricacies of how to set up campaigns on Roll20.net, a site that specializes in online RPGs. This is almost certainly the site we're going to be using. If anyone ahs any issues or something with this, let me know!
I wanna read the rules.
Not really a question this time, bolded text. You're not really following the pattern this time. Anyhow, I've published my
TOTALLY NOT STRUCTURED
ruleset on googledocs so that everyone can access it and have a read. It may be a bit hard to follow because Im not very good at structuring, but maybe that will be fixed in the future (probably not) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1A0j ... sp=sharing
Who will be playing?
See, and now you're back with the questions again, bolded text. Anyhow, I have no idea! If you're interested in this project at all, please drop a message in the thread stating your availability throughout the week, your timezone, and any questions, comments, or concerns you have about the campaign. And also post your TIMEZONE.
