I seriously doubt vox will be given to the AI again. It originally was but it got set to admin only so that only they can spam with it.

I wish AI's got it back.

Maybe make AI-controlled VOX mentor-only? That way it prevents random jerkasses from incessantly spamming "fart" every time they roll AI.

Yeah, like a list of major rooms on the station, a few extra direction specific ones, and some ones based on station threats.

"Fire in the Medbay"
"Wizard East of Bar"
"Clown on fire in the Chapel"

I can't see it being abused if it has a cooldown. A voice that everyone can hear is a useful thing.

Alternatively, remove the ordinary player voice text from the side and just have all players speaking in vox.

Like, even admins get sick of that if we spam it too much. Imagine having it spammable every single round, by anybody. That's what it was like.

If AI gets vox again it would definitely need to be massively restricted, which would take a lot of the fun out of it sadly.

how about you need to "upload" the message for one minute, which will alert heads with a pda message transcript that can be cancelled with a pda command. that way ass ass day will only get spammed if literally no heads care enough to stop it or they're all dead anyways

I'd rather see the vox be an actual object that can be turned off by a head and the AI but can only be re-enabled by a head.

The AI is being dumb with his vox ? Go ahead and just disable the damned thing in his upload!



That and a word limit + a 30-60 second cooldown.
