I recall hearing in the past that, to a significant extent, players controlling NPC mobs is bugged to hell, in some cases entirely unplayable, and in others just extremely convoluted or annoying to do, causing issues with many things such as many admin martian diplomat events and such. I suggest we revamp this system, not only for the sake of admin gimmicks, but so that it could open a whole new window into player, antagonist, NPC, deathspawn, whatever interaction, and in doing so could potentially open up a myriad of options for the future. Also arguably the lack of potential player mob interface is arguably a bug to begin with so why not.

If it means new gimmicks, like changing someone into a cockroach with the objective "Don't get stepped on", sure why not
I like the idea.

Or being turned into a cat, with the object of catching all the stations PC mice.

Nowadays we have the human morphs like Monkeys work, I think just putting these skins on that morph idea is a better plan rather than bothering with the netherworld that is mob code

Currently, in the artifact thread, the idea of artifacts turning people into mobs has been flaunted about, this would be made more viable with a general revision to mob player control. Although, knowing the situation coders have to endure, I'd imagine it would take a priest, a 4 leaf clover, and extreme luck to accomplish.

It's not really bugged, it's just that you can't do anything except click to attack since they aren't meant to be player controlled. The only way to change this is to rewrite all of the mob code so I doubt it will ever happen.
