Upgrade Mesons to detect Infrastructure
#1
With all the things going on under the floors these days, including data terminals, better powernet interface and pipe interface for mechanics components, more emphasis and interest in loaf and pipe science and rerouting pipes, etc. the meson goggles should be enhanced so that in addition to all turfs they show all infrastructure (wires, pipes, etc) currently under the floors on screen. This would be a big improvement to quality of life without causing huge balance issues - while it would make sabotage easier to detect, thermals have always been a hard counter to cloaks and not considered too unbalanced. The flickery tiny radius of the T-Ray scanner is almost universally inferior to crowbarring huge chunks of floor.

I am not sure whether this would be better craftable or just as an upgrade to all meson glasses. I am leaning towards the latter.

I know it would require new code as the effects of the T-Ray scanner are visible to all and this would not be.

On the topic of mesons, can we make them not display tiles at full brightness all the time? It's disorienting as hell, and limits the utility of them.

make t ray scanner visible to the holder and with effect applied to the whole screen

This also works, especially if no flicker, since you can belt or pocket it.

Just remove the T-ray scanner and build it's functionality into the mesons.

Or, keep the T ray scanner and mesons as they are, but using them both at the same time has this effect.

yes because getting the advantage of both needs to end up in sacrificing a inv slot, having both effects in one item is too much

What if you had to craft together a T-ray and mesons to make M-Ray goggles?
