I don't see how dental torture is any worse than the other forms of torture that already exist including but not limited to:

Horrific genetic genetic experiments untill you basically turn into that thing from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.
Slowly gassing an entire room of people to death with anything from radioactive plasma air to CO2 and Fire.
Having all your limbs sawed off and stuffed in a crate with no radio and being left to rot.
Chemistry experimentation.
Being stuffed into a giant blender.
Having your brain sawed out while you are still conscious.
Trash compactor trash carts.


Having your teeth ripped out is pretty tame compared to all the horrid things that can happen already.

But maybe rather than a traitor item, it's a thing you can make with any pill and tooth/fake tooth.

On that note perhaps toolboxes to the head and other heavy items to the head should increase the chance of tooth knockouts. Just because hitting someone in the mouth with a toolbox is probably not good for your teeth.

Also perhaps teeth should carry dna and some forensic type stuff, so detective can prove someone got their tooth knocked out in a certain area, or some sick traitor can mail the detective someone's teeth and challenge them to solve the crime. For instance "Guy hit in the face" should probably leave a "this tooth is chipped" message,
