Help the burning
#1
When someone is on the floor, burning, clicking on them with help intent should pat out the flames.
Not shake them up because that is the opposite of helping.

Only if you have the right gloves. Otherwise you get lit on fire too.

Why can't we already do this?

Depending on the fire, there's other things you could do, like smothering it, beating them with something, or removing burning material.
Maybe if you aren't wearing some gloves or holding a blanket/bed sheet/clothing you have a chance to take some burn damage? Maybe even a tiny chance to catch yourself on fire?

Dumping water or firefighting foam onto someone from a beaker extinguishes them, right?

No, currently help intent on someone rolling around on the ground just shakes them to their feet, which prevents them from continuing to roll around on the floor. Basically you're keeping them from stopping the fire, which is not good.

In fact, why doesn't removing your own clothes (possibly with help) have some effect while on fire?

Well it does. If you remove your clothes while on fire the clothes you removed get set on fire from your own body immolation. Fun times.

If you really want to live dangerously, you can pick up a cigarette, light the cigarette on fire off your (or some poor saps) flaming body, and then start smoking.

On that note, yeah, bedsheets and probably some other items should be able to put fires out for a limited number of uses. e.g find someone, smack them with the bedsheet on help intent, hope it puts them out.

Alternatively take a last stand against a plasma fire by hitting it with bedsheet.

Yes, this sounds like an excellent idea. Fund it.

Well, yeah.. What I had in mind was a helpful effect, like you know, reducing the intensity of them fire..

Of course, there's going to be a chance for the bedsheet to burst into flames as well.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN PUT A BURNING BEDSHEET ON YOUR HEAD WHILE IT'S ON FIRE.
Well now you do.
Take that as you will.
