Humans and Nonhumans

Every thing I am about to talk about is from the Human wiki page http://wiki.ss13.co/Human

So I looked and saw that there was a new addition to the page down at the bottom.

"EDIT: Wizard made cluwnes are human. Admin made cluwnes typically aren't due to virtue of them fucking up enough to deserve a cluwning and are free game for all."

And then I looked up alittle and saw this

"Martians / aliens / wendigos / lizards / animals - Not Human"

Now most of that I see is fine but then I saw Lizards as nonhuman. Now why would cluwnes be human when lizards are nonhuman? Lizards can do everything a human can; Speak, Walk, open doors without bashing their heads into it, the list could go on. Cluwnes however can't speak or walk properly. In fact the sole purpose of a cluwne is to annoy everyone as much as possible because all they can do is make horrible honking noises. Now why would those horrible beasts be considered human when our lizard friends who just happened to eat the wrong thing are considered nonhuman? This is an injustice in my opinion.

Because a cluwne is a horribly disfigured and mentally devastated shell of a human.

A lizard is a lizard.

The implication here is "speak English properly". For all you know cluwnes do communicate in their own language. By that logic I suppose Swedes aren't human either. Murder all Chefs - bork bork bork!

But the reason for this I expect is gameplay. I've had bad experiences with Borgs turning on me in the middle of a wizard battle just because I got cluwned, which as you know is out of your hands. Becoming a lizard or a monkey however is typically within your control, so you know the risks (not that I've ever seen any AI/Borg act on this) when you take that first bite.

I think anything player made is human, and anything admin made is free game.

Honestly, I think of lizards as sub-human. They have fewer rights than a normal human, but they are still kind of human.

This. Also, when you look at a lizard, is the first thought in your head 'Human'? Although, AI's who go around killing lizards on the justification 'That they can' are still pretty shitty, and you should adminhelp them. If a lizard is going around murderizing people, however, yes, you can stick your death patches on him. It's all just a big technicality for players.

Some fukkin roboticist shithead kept trying to kill me when I got wizard cluwned when playing as a HoS. I went around ticketing people saying HONK HONK as the excuse and he comes along and starts beating me in the head with a circler saw. When I tased him, and frowned, he got back up and kept doing it. I didn't have cuffs, and I was too retarded tripping all over the place to make an adequate arrest, so he got back up and flashed me, dragged me to the operation table in the morgue where he continued to flash and beat me with the circler saw. When I managed to recover, I again tased him, and beat him once with my baton to show I was serious with multiple *frown-ings. He literally said to me "You're a cluwne, you're not human, this is griefing"
I swiftly put him in the bin, and activated it.

Long story short, killing things even because they are non-human is really shitty, unless those non-humans are antagonists. I really don't see an issue if a "supposed" non-human gets his shit wrecked like I was, that the non-human has every right to defend themselves.

In my opinion, the only time to kill a non admin spawned cluwne as a non antag is when you are in genetics, with the explicit purpose to immediately clone them to cure their cluwne curse. Other than that it is just shit.

FYI if you are going to murder a cluwne to clone them, tell them that.

Nothing is worse then being assaulted by a bunch of dudes for seemingly no reason only to find out they were trying to clone you. Especially since being a cluwne still doesn't stop you from fighting back.

Every time I'm a cluwne all that happens is I get murderized by the first person that sees me but when I'm a lizard all that happens is people look at me funny and new people to the station just state, "You are a lizard." Yes I was. Also I suppose it doesn't help that when I'm a cluwne I spam the fuck outta my honking noises and piss everyone in the whole station off with the new soundsystem.

One time I was cluwned, I honked even when I was knocked unconscious and blackened out. I wonder if that was fixed.

I hope not because the only defense a cluwne has is to annoy someone so much they go away.

Anyway. The point of this topic was to figure out if Lizard people are nonhuman why would something as horrible as a cluwne be considered human? Sure they were forced into being a cluwne but people get force borgged or monkeyed and we don't consider those human. Cluwnes are just as nonhuman as a lizard in my eyes and I think that is the only way to see them. Sure you don't have to go around murdering cluwnes just because they are nonhuman it would be the same as a lizard except cluwnes honk and honk and honk and honk and keep honking till you want to kill them but if a cluwne is considered human does that mean you can't kill one because they are honking the shit out of the station? That was usually the point of cluwneing someone is to be able to know they would annoy the crew enough the crew would murder it.
