I'm making this post to say some things that I've wanted to get across to the "older" (2022-2023) GoonRP community for a while.
I started playing during 2022 by curiosity and interest after I watched Tomato's videos on SS13, and so it turned into to my main game for a good while. And damn, there's so many things to do and explore. Artsci turned easily into my favorite work, and then I explored other departments and the antags.
Getting to what I wanted to say, thank you for all the good times and the good laughs (machoman and cat virus flashbacks).
Thank you for being an awesome, welcoming community, for always be willing to teach new players how to play - and how to properly play on the RP servers - and including them on the rounds.
Thank you to the RP people, for all the interactions and roleplay development situations, and particularly for the friendship and kindness.
Thank you to the admins, for making sure the RP environment is respected and it's rules are being followed, applying the right measures (and making the rounds more interesting), otherwise there wouldn't be control over the griefing and meta-powergaming issues (and there wouldn't be those cool events now and then).
Even though I had much joy playing here, I have to apologize to the community.
Specially on some character and player behavior.
For some time after I started playing, I had openly Syndicate characters - which doesen't make sense rulewise - then I realized it and moved on.
However it's mostly on player behavior that I have to apologize.
During the last months on that period I really wasn't well, and I'd spend a lot of time on the lowest population server - which at many occasions there would be less than 15, 10, 5 people. And while that was interesting for some RP bits, I also fell on powergaming - specially as antag and QM - and forgetting what the RP servers truly are - not a sandbox.
Sorry to those I may have worsen the rounds, and to the admin team as a whole.
I really just wanted to say this to the community for a while.
Goon is a cool game and it makes one's days better, funnier, goofier. Stay well, and thanks for all.
